MUSIC FESTIVALS - so many choices!

Spring is in full swing, and so is concert life and tour travel.

I just got back from Germany where I looked at performance and teaching spaces in Bavaria, and I have great news to share with you:

We are launching MEISTERKURSE ALLGÄU (Master Courses Allgäu) in Germany this summer!

I am so excited about this new festival because it grew out of our Kammermusikkurs Kaufbeuren (Chamber Music Festival Kaufbeuren) which has been going strong now for 15 years. Each year our participants are asking for more opportunities to work with our great faculty, so the decision to launch this new course was an easy one.

MEISTERKURSE ALLGÄU 2023

The festival will be held not in one, but in two cities in Bavaria, doubling our offerings for performances in professional stage settings. We will start in Kaufbeuren on September 6 and 7.

Then we will move to nearby Kempten for the remaining two days.

This is the Schöner Saal in Kempten (the name literally translates into ‘Beautiful Hall’). It is going to be so fun to work in this acoustically amazing space:

My colleague Julia Kuhn and I will offer violin and piano coaching sessions, chamber music and private lessons, and our participants will have lots of opportunities to perform in both towns. Let me know if you’d like to come!

PIANO WEEK 2023

If you would like to study with me in England, I’d like you to take a look at PIANO WEEK. Join me in Rugby from July 16th to the 23rd for a week of intensive piano study.

This is Rugby, the place where the famous game was invented:

The setting is truly breathtaking.

Rugby is a Steinway facility with lots of places to practice and play. I can’t wait to walk around their gorgeous grounds and to make music in Rugby’s historic halls!

KAMMERMUSIKKURS KAUFBEUREN 2024

There are even more choices to study with me: I will be back in Germany January 2nd to the 6th. Join me for our 16th Kammermusikkurs Kaufbeuren. Applications start in August, so there is plenty of time to plan.
